Two downtown businesses will host their fourth annual Back-to-School Giveaway on North Dargan Street, offering free haircuts, school physicals, supplies and food for local children. The event helps students prepare for classes on Wednesday, July 29 and Thursday, July 30 and is supported by local volunteers & community donations.
Gamecock brothers Lanorris and Jayden Sellars hosted the second annual Healthy Huddle Back-to-School Giveaway at the Florence YMCA on Saturday, providing nearly 100 children with free school supplies and fitness activities (and nutrition education). Local school districts reopen on Wednesday, July 29 and Thursday, July 30.
