In Florence, over 100 residents marched from Oakland Avenue to the downtown performing arts center (highlighting unity) while gatherings were held in Hartsville and Bennettsville.

Georgia-Pacific donated $5,000 to Florence-Darlington Technical College to support its mechatronics & electronics engineering technology programs, which prepare students for manufacturing jobs and strengthen regional workforce development.
🏛️ Government
Eighty-eight-year-old David Garrison raised safety concerns about the boat landing at DeWitt's Bluff Landing after it reopened from repairs, saying the ramp lacks handrails and poses a risk for seniors.
Florence County Administrator Kevin Yokim said handrails will be considered once the parking lot and dock are fixed.
