ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Florence County Fire Rescue crews are working to contain a 50 to 80-acre woods fire on Black Street Road in the Pamplico area while the South Carolina Forestry Commission assists. WMBF News

- ➤ Bethany Hamilton will attend the Evening of Hope event at Florence Center on Mar. 9, joining a star-studded lineup that celebrates local inspiration & unity. WPDE
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Florence-based McLeod Health Foundation will receive two grants (totaling $1,370,000) from The Duke Endowment over the next five years to strengthen community health services. The funding will support ongoing health initiatives in the region. SCNow
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ City leaders said new townhome projects are underway to meet housing demand as Florence now has 677 units. The Dowling Homes project on West Cheves Street will add 10 rentals, while developments on West Palmetto and Baroody Streets will soon add over 100 more units — further fueling growth. WPDE
