- ➤ Crews started renovating Ward Memorial Stadium today at Florence School District 3 — a project that will upgrade facilities for Lake City schools. WPDE
- ➤ A groundbreaking ceremony was held yesterday for the new Savannah Grove Elementary School in the Effingham community, where 100 people marked the start of a $35 million project to build a 90,000 sqft facility with labs + a gym + five baseball fields, expected to open by August 2027. WPDE
- ➤ Florence 1 Schools Superintendent Richard O’Malley received the Governor’s Award for the Arts in Education, announced by the South Carolina Arts Commission this week to honor his support for arts investments, staffing and renovations in schools.
