  • The third annual Pat Gibson Hye Black History Month parade took place Saturday, Feb. 28 and moved from W. Evans St to Dargan St with community organizations & participants joining the celebration.  SCNow
  • Temple and Hogsette Law Group of Florence honored educators and first responders this week as it celebrated over 20 years of service by treating teachers to rides to Columbia and hosting a special luncheon for police, deputies, and firefighters at the S.C. General Assembly + Palmetto Club.  WPDE

  • Busy Bee Subs is open at 908 South Cashua Dr., serving pasta, pizza, subs and weekly specials with family recipes (including decades-old spaghetti recipes). The restaurant offers a pool table and arcade games, and owner Suzanne Fitzpatrick plans a second hybrid location in Little River.  The Post and Courier

  • Florence District One and Florence County broke ground on the new Savannah Grove Elementary School plus ballfields in Forest Lake. Officials said the project is blessed and will give students a safe place for learning and play.  SCNow
