  • Publix executed a lease for a nearly 47,000-square-foot store on the northeast corner of Palmetto Street and Ebenezer Road in Florence that will add 140 jobs—its opening date has not been set.  WMBF News
  • A lottery ticket bought at the Pilot Travel Center — 3006 North Williston Road — in Pee Dee won a $713,000 jackpot by matching all five numbers in Tuesday’s drawing. The winner has 180 days from the drawing to claim the prize.  WMBF News

CRIME NEWS

  • Jabari Coffee was charged with murder after a man aged 20, Isaiah Conner, died on March 20 from injuries he suffered when he was shot twice on January 23 in the 300 block of Freemont Road in Longs — Coffee was arrested on February 28 during a traffic stop and faces charges including armed robbery, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, unlawful possession or sale of a firearm and drug crimes.  WFXB
