  • The City of Florence honored women leaders as ambassadors on Monday, Mar. 30 for their contributions to the community. The recognition marks a step in showcasing local leadership.  SCNow

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Pee Dee IceCats (the first pro hockey team in nearly 20 years) set a league attendance record with 126,841 fans (in 27 games) at a March 22 game and will play their final home game Saturday, April 4 at the Florence Center. The team is seeking a playoff spot.  The Post and Courier
  • King’s Academy senior Mason Lankford, recognized as an April 2026 Academic Achiever, will attend Emmanuel University & launch a sporting clays coaching business to mentor new shooters. He is a multi-time state champion and national champion with a record of collegiate accolades.  The Post and Courier
