ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Florence County crews responded to a 5-acre woods fire that threatened a commercial building and a home at 4 p.m. on Monday along N. Pamlico Highway in the Pamplico area. They contained the fire with minor damage and the incident was investigated while a burn ban remained in effect. WMBF News
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ McLeod Health held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new outpatient pharmacy on Ravenel Street in Florence. The 12,000 sqft building (featuring a drive-thru and curbside pickup) will open to patients on Sunday at 1 p.m. WFXB
