- ➤ Florence's Rail Trail extension will open in May and join Ebenezer Park with the Florence Soccer Complex by linking 2.5 miles of trails to the 20-mile Rail Trail — the project cost $1 million and finished under budget by about $50,000. The city said the new trail will add improved amenities and count walkers, bikers and runners as part of its efforts to boost local recreation. The Post and Courier

- ➤ Conway police said a deadly shooting on Saturday night at Grainger Road and Marion Street left 24-year-old V’ron Gibbs dead after he was taken to a hospital, and they arrested 31-year-old Traequan Wilson from Florence—booked at J.
