ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Claude O’Neal Lee, 82, died in a Lake City house fire on W. Turbeville Highway Thursday morning—Florence County Coroner’s Office and state law enforcement are investigating the incident while the South Lynches Fire Department responded. WBTW
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Florence County deputies pursued a suspected stolen vehicle that left South Irby Street and crashed on Ashby Road near the Quinby community just after 1:00 p.m.—the driver was detained with no reported injuries. WPDE
- ➤ Two people were shot overnight between 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Highway 57 S. in the Newtown community and are in stable condition at a Florence hospital—no arrests have been made while the sheriff's office continues to investigate. WBTW
