- ➤ West Florence Fire Rescue and Howe Springs Fire Department quickly contained a kitchen fire on the 2600 block of Cleveland Road in Effingham — using Florence County's new firefighter tracking system for the first time. SCNow
- ➤ An electrical fire broke out Thursday night at the Sundae House at 1551 W. Palmetto Street—crews arrived at 8:09 p.m. and brought the blaze under control in 25 minutes with no injuries—leading the restaurant to close until further notice. WBTW
- ➤ A crash on Friday afternoon blocked one lane on E Lucas Street and both lanes on Darlington Street in Florence County as first responders worked while officials warned drivers to expect delays. WMBF News

- ➤ A Florence man was arrested by Conway Police for allegedly fatally shooting someone in Conway over the weekend. SCNow
- ➤ Florence County Sheriff’s Office said a person of interest was sought after shots were fired at a Waffle House on Sunday — deputies responded at 4:30 a.m. to a parking lot conflict on West Lucas Street where a shot was fired at a vehicle leaving the restaurant and no one was injured. WBTW
