CRIME NEWS

  • Two women—53-year-old Jennifer Lynn Ferry-Heimbold and 23-year-old Kelli Ann Driggers—were arrested Friday after selling meth to a confidential informant during a lengthy investigation in Florence County. Investigators searched a home on Lupine Drive and the women are now held at the Florence County Detention Center awaiting bond hearings.  WBTW

CULTURE NEWS

  • A tour by SC250 will take local travelers to two Revolutionary War sites in the Pee Dee, including Burch’s Mill and a brick chimney site where archeologists are working, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 15 starting at the Florence County Museum — those without bus seats can meet at the museum to caravan to the sites and then join a meet and greet with local officials at 5:30 p.m.  The Post and Courier

HEALTH NEWS

  • MUSC Health Florence held its annual nursing award event at Eddie Floyd Conference Center to honor over 60 nurses during National Nurses Week. Robert—Bobby Sloan became the first male nurse to win Nurse of the Year as community leaders including Mayor Lethonia Barnes attended the ceremony.  WPDE
