  • Florence-Darlington Technical College named an interim president for its Pee Dee campus (the official announcement confirms the decision) as the college prepares for a smooth transition in leadership.  WMBF News

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Florence’s planning commission approved 85 lots for single-family homes at Wild Bird Run subdivision off Alligator Road at its May 12 meeting, and also approved a zoning change for a duplex near Iola Jones Park to provide more affordable housing. Magnolia Lakes Developers will begin construction once plans are submitted.  The Post and Courier
