- ➤ A Florence County deputy died in a crash Tuesday afternoon near 301 Deer Processing on Olanta Highway between Meadow Prong Road and Langston Road — the other driver was taken to the hospital while authorities closed the road and the South Carolina Highway Patrol investigated. WPDE
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Three people were arrested after an extensive investigation uncovered that stolen cars were sold in Florence County + police have charged them. WMBF News
- ➤ An investigation into unauthorized vehicle sales in Florence County led to the arrest of three men from March to May who sold seven vehicles near Fishing Lane in Pamplico; Kevin Allen Baxley is charged with burglary, grand larceny, petit larceny and criminal conspiracy and is held on an $84,896.00 surety bond, Edward Christopher Gil faces charges of petit larceny and criminal conspiracy and is held on an $18,128.00 bond, and Thomas Williams Jr. is charged with receiving stolen goods and criminal conspiracy and was released on a personal recognizance bond on May 16.
