  • Florence County officials warned residents today about a scam text message that appears to be from the South Carolina DMV—this message falsely claims an unpaid traffic ticket and threatens driver’s license suspension if the fine is not paid, urging people to delete the text and avoid sharing personal information.  WFXB
  • Jacqueline Burgess (59) from Florence County was arrested for allegedly filing false timesheets for Medicaid care between December 2023 and June 2024 while not providing services at Tender Care Home Health Care; her case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.  WPDE
