- ➤ Gas prices in South Carolina rose 1.5 cents in the past week to average $2.77 per gallon Monday—defying the national trend of falling prices with lower oil costs. Prices remain 8.7 cents lower than a month ago and 36 cents lower than a year ago. WPDE
