Good morning, Florence.

The Florence County Coroner’s Office identified the victim of the July 22 Coit Street stabbing—authorities said the finding lets the investigation move forward.

Town officials in Nichols are building a nature-based stormwater park to reduce flood damage by redirecting rainwater from the Lumber and Little Pee Dee rivers.

The park will feature trees, walking trails, and educational signs and comes after flooding from hurricanes Matthew (2016) and Florence (2018).
