- ➤ Multiple people were detained Thursday night when Florence County deputies, Timmonsville police, and SLED agents searched for a man wanted for dogfighting; drugs and weapons were found during a home search—officials said more details were to be released Friday afternoon. WBTW
- ➤ Police responded Tuesday morning to an apartment complex on N. Coit Street in Florence after 23 year old Crislyn McFarlan was found dead from stab wounds to her neck and shoulder - Michael Smith, the only other person in the apartment and her romantic partner, did not call for help and now faces charges of murder and weapon possession while being denied bond.
