- ➤ Heritage Digital has launched its second annual Feed Hope Food Drive to assist FDTC students with food insecurity by collecting non-perishable food and hygiene items for the Stinger's Nest pantry+ local businesses may host donation boxes for the drive. - ➤ Jerryco Leon Quillin, 44, from Florence, was charged with felony DUI—along with counts for driving an uninsured motor vehicle, open container, driving under suspension, and habitual offender-causing death—after his vehicle crashed on July 11 near Firetower Road, killing passenger Oshunda Tomoko Quillin, and he remains in custody at the Florence County Detention Center. Leatherman Behavioral Care Pavilion will open in Florence to offer inpatient and outpatient mental health services—63 beds and crisis stabilization—to fill care gaps in the Pee Dee region.
