- ➤ Florence School District 3 welcomed State Superintendent of Education Ellen Weaver Tuesday as she released the 2025 South Carolina Ready assessment results—she highlighted growing student achievement and outlined plans for improvement. SCNow

- ➤ Governor McMaster announced new funding to place a school resource officer in every public school, with $29.4 million allocated to fill 119 openings — though past misconduct and hiring challenges still raise concerns.
