- ➤ AT&T landline service is down in Florence after outages affected the state, and county emergency management officials said the company is working to fix the issue—residents needing urgent help should call 911 from a cell phone. WPDE
- ➤ Florence County is applying for a $550,000 grant to demolish the old Timmonsville Career Center that has leaks, mold, and asbestos hazards. County officials plan to use the cleared space to expand a renovated ballpark with a picnic area, playground, and green space — community members support the action amid safety concerns. WPDE
