- ➤ On Saturday morning, over 100 cancer survivors and loved ones gathered at the Pee Dee Mental Health Center in Florence for the annual Kick Cancer 5k walk—an event organized by the non-profit led by Alicia Carter that honored a local educator and a beloved woman lost to pancreatic cancer. The American Cancer Society joined the walk—educating participants on early detection and the importance of regular screenings. WPDE
