  • Joye Law Firm Injury Lawyers is partnering with college football players to launch Game Plan for a Safe Ride to help prevent drunk driving crashes ahead of the Coastal Carolina University vs University of South Carolina game on Nov. 22. After the game, the firm will offer free $25 Uber vouchers statewide to the first 5,000 sign-ups—only those aged 21 or older are eligible.  WFXB
  • Racepath Community Learning Center is calling for volunteers with baking skills, side dish expertise, and extra hands for its annual Thanksgiving dinner.  WMBF News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • SCDNR announced a proposal yesterday for an exempted fishing permit to expand the red snapper season in response to concerns over short guidelines and unreliable federal data—officials aim to use a state-run electronic system to track one red snapper per angler. The plan, developed in partnership with state Senator Stephen Goldfinch and other groups—preparation has begun for the upcoming 2026 season.  WPDE
