- ➤ At 1:10 p.m., Florence County Fire Rescue responded to an uncontrolled grass fire near the National Guard Armory on Greer Road in the Windy Hill area — they quickly extinguished the flames to protect military vehicles and the armory building. WMBF News
- ➤ Florence County Fire Rescue is battling a large wildfire on Central Road behind McKenzie’s Auto Repair in the Olanta area — crews quickly deployed multiple units while the South Carolina Forestry Commission and law enforcement officers were called to investigate suspicious circumstances; efforts remain underway to control the fire.
