  • The Florence Christmas Parade will return on Dec. 13 from 11 a.m. to about 2 p.m. along its classic downtown route—beginning at Sunset Drive and Evans Street—and will feature community floats, food vendors, bands, dance troupes, and grand marshal Grace-Miller Moody from NBC’s The Voice.  The Post and Courier

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Florence 1 Schools completed their latest financial audit with a clean report for the fifth year; the report noted a record fund balance, exceeded revenues, and strong reserves from prudent spending.  SCNow
  • Francis Marion University (FMU) will offer eight Evening College courses in spring 2026 to boost professional and personal growth. Interested students should check with the university for registration details.  SCNow

  • After three years of repairs to remove mold from 30 of 100 units, 41 residents will return to Creekside Village Apartments today in Florence — the housing authority spent about $2M on relocation and renovations funded by a $4M grant.  WPDE
