- ➤ Lake City High School students donated over 200 toys to the Farrah Turner Foundation through a Joy drive, and the toys will be distributed on Dec. 23 and 24 in Lake City & school clubs helped collect them to serve the local community. WMBF News

- ➤ Connor McElveen, a senior at Lamar High School, was named one of the Post and Courier Pee Dee Academic Achievers for December; he plans to study biology or exercise science and pursue physical therapy (supported by his track team, student government and community service work). - ➤ MUSC Health’s Pee Dee Division facilities earned the 2025 Certified Zero Harm Awards for eliminating preventable medical harm & improving patient safety, reflecting their ongoing commitment to quality care. SCNow
