- ➤ Residents in West Florence report a horrendous odor that has lingered for days, affecting local businesses and raising health concerns. City crews inspected South Cashua Drive and say the smell is not from a sewer issue — they will keep monitoring for any changes. WPDE
- ➤ Volunteers have prepared over 13,000 free meals for the annual Community Christmas Dinner that will be delivered + available for pickup today across the Grand Strand and Pee Dee. Recipients who arranged meals by Dec. 21 can pick them up at designated local sites. WMBF News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Hannah-Salem-Friendfield Fire Department has deployed its new engine E-651 to serve the rural area while its new West Shirley Road station is under construction; the 2025 KME Predator Custom Cab Pumper will cover the community until the station opens in spring. WMBF News
