- ➤ Marlboro County and Timmonsville received almost $600K in Community Development Block Grant funds for local improvements. Lindsay Park in Bennettsville will get a $300K renovation for its playground, baseball fields, and restrooms (construction may start this spring) as final paperwork wraps up. WPDE

- ➤ The ASPCA warns that holiday treats and decorations can be unsafe for pets this season. Residents are advised to stick to their pets' normal diets and keep dangerous items like bones, tinsel, and alcohol out of reach. WPDE
